New Mexico Gas Company is offering a $500 rebate on the purchase and installation of a new ENERGY STAR®-qualified, gas fryer.
A more efficient gas fryer can save commercial kitchens, on average, 50 MBtu, or about $500, a year on natural gas bills, compared to standard models. [This price is based on General Service Small Volume, Rate 54, New Mexico Gas Company customers and 2009 average cost of gas.]
Idle time waiting for a fryer to heat up costs you time and money. A more efficient gas fryer means faster heating, less standby heat loss, and less fluctuations in oil temperatures, even when fully loaded. That means shorter cooking times and higher production rates. It also results in load after load of perfectly fried foods that are crisper and less greasy — leaving more satisfied customers for you.
To offset the incremental cost of an energy efficient fryer, New Mexico Gas Company is offering $500 rebates on more than 35 ENERGY STAR-qualifying fryers. This offer is available to all of our business customers.
With our rebate, our customers can expect to see a payback on their investment within two to three years, while enjoying savings on their natural gas bills for years thereafter.
Here’s How To Get Your $500 Rebate
1. Check that your gas fryer is eligible. Rebates are available for qualifying gas fryers purchased after April 1, 2010 and installed by March 31, 2011. All equipment must be purchased new and may be installed as new construction or as retrofit/upgrade. Used or rebuilt equipment is not eligible. A complete List Of Qualifying Commercial Fryers is available from ENERGY STAR here.
2. Get a copy of the rebate application form. A copy of the rebate form with complete details, terms and conditions may be downloaded here.
3. Mail in your completed and signed rebate application. It must be postmarked by April 30, 2011 and mailed to the address provided, along with a copy of a recent New Mexico Gas Company bill and copies of receipts from your equipment purchase and installation. Invoices must include the quantity, price, manufacturer make and model numbers, and product codes for each item. Please keep a copy of your receipts and completed form for your records.
