Thank you for your generous donations to HEAT New Mexico. Together, we helped 7,146 New Mexicans with their heating bills (2,580 households). A total of $309,789 in HEAT New Mexico assistance was distributed statewide through the Salvation Army during the 2011-2012 winter heating season.

All of the HEAT New Mexico donations collected during the 2011 donation period were distributed to qualifying applicants. Donations distributed included $159,789 from New Mexico Gas Company customers, employees and other New Mexicans; and $150,000 in matching contributions from New Mexico Gas Company. Because New Mexico Gas Company covered administrative costs,100 percent of all HEAT New Mexico donations provided assistance for those in need.

HEAT New Mexico provided heating bill assistance in accordance to applicants’ requests, which included help for their natural gas, propane, wood and wood pellet heating expenses.
