New Mexico Public Regulation Commission
NMGC has adopted standard rates
to govern our relations with customers. These have been approved by the NMPRC.
Integrated Resource Plan (IRP)
Our Integrated Resource Plan, required by the NMPRC, is a four-year resource and system planning report developed in conjunction with a public advisory group. We currently operate our system according to guidelines contained in the 2012 IRP
, which was filed with and deemed compliant by the NMPRC in 2012.
Public Advisory Planning Process for 2016 IRP
We invite the public to participate in the 2015 IRP Public Advisory Planning Process, which will help develop a new IRP to be filed with the NMPRC by April 15, 2016. Through this process, NMGC will provide information on load forecasts, evaluation of existing gas supply and customer demand, identification of resource options, examination of price volatility and general attributes of potential resources, and modeling and risk assumptions leading to the development of a cost effective portfolio of gas utility resources.
The IRP process includes a series of public workshop-style meetings and provides an opportunity to consider input from the public. Anyone interested in participating in NMGC's IRP Public Advisory Planning Process should call NMGC at (505) 697-3831. The first meeting will be held:
