In 2024, the New Mexico State Fair launched their inaugural ProStart Highschool Culinary Competition bringing together culinary teams from high schools throughout the state! Students compete for prize money awarded by New Mexico Gas Company. Funding supports the culinary program at the winning schools. |

NATIVE AMERICAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Each year, New Mexico Gas Company provides 20 scholarships to Native American students in New Mexico, pursuing their passions and efforts towards completing post-secondary education programs by demonstrating a desire to engage in their future through education. Since its inception in 2011, the Native American Scholarship program has awarded more than $525,000 to 265 Native American students representing 20 of New Mexico’s 23 Pueblos, Tribes and Nations.
