LIHEAP Information for Residents on Indian Lands

If you need assistance paying your winter heating bill, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) program is available to help income-qualifying residents. Some tribes administer their own LIHEAP programs and others are administered by New Mexico Health and Human Services area offices.

Here is information on where to go to get an application and apply for LIHEAP. When you apply for LIHEAP, bring a social security card for each member of the household, identification, proof of income, and a copy of your highest energy bill.
